Brampton Lawn Bowling Club Season to Continue until September 15, 2021

Brampton Lawn Bowling Club enthusiastic lawn bowlers are enjoying the opportunity to bowl for the 2021 season on a reduced schedule every Monday and Wednesday evening.

Bowling will continue until Wednesday September 15th.

Please note that only fully paid members are allowed to practice or bowl in games this year due to Covid restrictions and OLBA insurance requirements.

For those members who have belongings stored in the lockers in our Clubhouse, the City has requested that all lockers be emptied and locks removed by September 15th.  This will allow the City to do a thorough cleaning.   You may retrieve your items on Monday (except Labour Day Monday) or Wednesday evenings at the Clubhouse between 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  Please access the greens by going around the building by our equipment storage area.  You will then be provided access to your locker.  Thank you for your assistance.

The Club looks forward to a fun and fantastic full season of bowling for 2022 starting in the Spring.

Stay safe and healthy.

The Brampton Lawn Bowling Club is very pleased to share with you the wonderful news that we can resume lawn bowling on a limited basis due to COVID-19 restrictions on our greens starting July 19, 2021.

Bowling will take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on three greens.

Note that members will not have access to the building and must enter the greens from outside at the west end by our storage room.  Unfortunately due to current COVID restrictions, washroom facilities will not be available.

For this shortened season, bowling membership will be a very affordable $30.00.  This fee will pay for insurance as required by the Ontario Lawn Bowls Association.  Your Club will be covering all other costs this season.  UPDATE:  The $2.00 fee per play referred to in the earlier posting below will no longer be applied.

To ensure everyone’s safety and wellness, strict protocols and new procedures will be in place due to COVID-19 restrictions.
For all the details, please see our interim President Patrick May’s notice below on the previous posting.

For those members who do not own their own bowls, the Club will loan each member a set of bowls for this season only on a "first come first serve" basis.  These members will sign a loan form and be responsible for returning the set at the end of the season.  Bowls will be available for loan on Thursday, July 15th and Tuesday July 20th between 4:00 to 6:00 pm.  Meet Patrick May outside on the Clubhouse patio.

To join our Club to bowl for this season, simply print and complete the Membership Application Form and the new Release of Liability Form with COVID provisions now required by OLBA as found above.  Bring these forms and your cheque for $30.00 payable to the Brampton Lawn Bowling Club to your first time of bowling.

Looking forward to welcoming everyone back to some fun bowling and good socially distanced fellowship.

Help spread the word by telling your friends and neighbours about this great opportunity to join our club.  Note that for this season due to COVID protocols, there is no free trial period.

Lawn Bowling in Brampton 2021 Season

Greetings Fellow Lawn Bowling Enthusiasts in Brampton

The Brampton Lawn Bowling Club hopes that everyone is staying safe and well as the Covid-19 pandemic continues around us during this Spring, 2021.

Unfortunately, due to the continuing restrictions from the Government of Ontario and the City of Brampton, our Club has not been able to open to date.   The future remains uncertain at this time.

Participating in lawn bowling games along with the accompanying much enjoyed fun and friendship with fellow members is being very much missed.

Your Club Executive remains enthusiastically committed to ensuring that lawn bowling returns to our Club as soon as possible.

When games are able to resume, the Club looks forward to welcoming back all of our members along with many new members who look forward to learning to play and enjoying the great sport of lawn bowls.

Please check back here for future updates.

Until we can meet again in person,

Brampton Lawn Bowling Club Executive Committee
